Alexander Povolotsky
 

Alexander Povolotsky, violinist and composer, was born in Ukraine into a family of musicians and started his violin studies at the age of 5. He studied the violin with Professor Mardkovich at the Odessa Music Academy, an institution boasting a line of famous graduates such as Sviatoslav Richter, Emile Gilels and David Oistrakh. Alexander Povolotsky won prestigious prizes in many contests throughout the Soviet Union. After graduating from the Music Academy in 1970, Alexander Povolotsky played the first violin in the Philharmonic String Quintet and thereafter performed in the Moscow Chamber Orchestra. During that time he started his teaching career in the Gnesin Academy in Moscow. From 1975 to 1985 he played the first violin of the Bolshoi Theater orchestra and in its violin ensemble, in addition, from 1982 until 1985 he also served as the musical director of the ensemble. Throughout the years 1985 until 1990 Alexander Povolotsky was a member of the State Academic Symphonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Evgeniy Svetlanov. Being an accomplished and versatile composer, Mr. Povolotsky created and arranged many musical pieces for various theaters and music ensembles, and also created and recorded music for radio and television programs. Since 1990 Alexander Povolotsky has been living in Israel where he joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Alexander Povolotsky set up the "Povolotsky Family Trio" where he plays together with his son Eugene and daughter Marianna. Since the beginning, the trio has been performing with some of the world’s leading opera singers in a variety of concert programs. All of the trio members also play in the Virtuosi of Tel-Aviv ensemble. Furthermore, Alexander and Marianna Povolotsky are members of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Zubin Mehta. In 1996 he also Alexander Povolotsky established the Virtuosi of Tel-Aviv ensemble consisting of artists of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Together with these ensembles he has performed in Israel, the US, Canada and Europe and has recorded four albums of music he has created and arranged. In 2001, Povolotsky’s concert overture for a symphonic orchestra opened the XXII International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition, where he was member of the jury. In addition to performing with the Virtuosi of Tel-Aviv and with his family trio, Alexander Povolotsky often gives jazz concerts accompanied by piano, bass and drums. Alexander Povolotsky has been a member of the Israeli Composers’ Union since 1991. His musical scores are sold in Europe and the US. In 2003 Povolotsky produced a solo album devoted to jazz in which he collected his recordings from the radio, television and concert that were made over the years. In 2008 he completed writing the music for a musical of Shalom Aleichem, “Motl the Cantor’s Son”. Alexander Povolotsky has composed and arranged a large number of pieces and songs for singers; he also composed arrangements for theatrical productions, musical performances and various ensembles in Israel and abroad. In 2008 he authored a composition for two solo clarinets with orchestra on the theme of Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”. Alexander Povolotsky has been creating arrangements for the Keshet Eilon violin ensemble. Mr. Povolotsky produces and records albums with renowned Israeli and foreign singers. Well known musicians such as Zubin Mehta, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Shlomo Mintz and many others have praised the mastery of Povolotsky’s work and the performing art of the ensembles under his direction.

Marianna Povolotsky
 

Marianna Povolotsky was born in 1975 in Moscow and began studying music at the age of 6 at the Central School of Music in Moscow. Immigrated with her family to Israel in 1990 and continued her studies at the Academy of Music in Jerusalem and Academy of Music in Tel - Aviv. She regularly won scholarships from the American- Israel Cultural Foundation. From 1991-93 was a member of the young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1996 won first prize in Chamber Music in Academy of Music in Tel – Aviv, in the same year Marianna joined the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Marianna Povolotsky appeared as a soloist with the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, Tel- Aviv Academy Symphony Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1991 Marianna appears along with her father- Alexander and her brother- Eugene at the "Povolotsky Family Trio" and since 1996 as a member of "Virtuosos of Tel – Aviv” ensemble which brings together the musicians of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Together with these ensembles she has performed in Israel, the US, South America, Canada and Europe and has recorded four albums. Marianna often plays with various chamber music ensembles Israel and abroad.

Eugene Povolotsky
 

Eugene Povolotsky was born in Moscow in 1982 into a family of musicians. Began studying music at the age of 5. First played the flute, piano and then moved to violin class at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow. Immigrated with his family to Israel in 1990. Studied at the School of Arts in Tel- Aviv and graduated “Ironi Daled” High school in Tel Aviv. In 1992 he played a violinist role in "Tevye the dairyman" play in the Cameri Theater. From 1995-2000 he won scholarships from the American- Israel Cultural Foundation. From 1993-2000 was a member of the young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2000 joined the army as an outstanding musician status at the Education Corps. Graduated BA Management and Economics at the Open University and as financial adviser at the Ramat- Gan College. Since 1991 Eugene appears along with her father- Alexander and her sister- Marianna at the "Povolotsky Family Trio" and since 1996 as a member of "Virtuosos of Tel – Aviv” ensemble which brings together the musicians of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Together with these ensembles he has performed in Israel, the US, South America, Canada and Europe and has recorded four albums. Marianna often plays with various chamber music ensembles Israel and abroad. Eugene has worked and recorded with some of the best artists in Israel such as Ivri Lider, Yehoram Gaon, Dudu Fischer, Shiri Maimon, Boaz Meuda, Yigal Bashan, Tomer Biran and leading opera singers and many others. In 2003 after many years of experience, Eugene decided to join forces with the wonderful artists with whom he has had the privilege of working on various stages to create a production company capable of catering to any kind of event.

Vladislav Krasnov
 

Vladislav Krasnov was born in Kiev, Ukraine. Immigrated in 1991 and began his music studies at the Academy of Music at the University of Tel- Aviv in the class of Professor Yuri Gandelsman, former first violist of the Philharmonic. From 1991-1997 was a member of the young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Vladislav played in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and many chamber music ensembles. In 2000 Vladislav became a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Since 2004 a member of "Virtuosos of Tel – Aviv” ensemble which brings together the musicians of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Together with theme he has performed in Israel, the US, South America, Canada and Europe and has recorded two albums

Dmitri Golderman
 

Dmitri Golderman born in Russia in 1961. Studied cello about 10 years in Moscow before immigrating to Israel in 1979. He studied with Professor Uzi Wiesel at the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel- Aviv. In 1986 he graduated Master degree in music (MA). In 1982-1985 while was serving the army was a member of the IDF chamber quartet. From 1985-1988 Dmitri played at the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra - IBA, as an asst. concertmaster. In 1988 became a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Since 1996 a member of "Virtuosos of Tel – Aviv” ensemble which brings together the musicians of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Together with theme he has performed in Israel, the US, South America, Canada and Europe and has recorded three albums. Dmitri often performs chamber music ensembles in Israel and abroad

Brad Annis
 

Brad Ennis was born and raised in Wisconsin, USA, and he is a graduate of the Interlochen Art Academy. He has a BA in history from Stanford University and an MA on double bass from Indiana University, where he studied with well known bass player and teacher Lawrence Hurst. While a student was a member of the music center in Tanglewood and music school in Aspen. Brad has also played in the orchestra of the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina and Spoleto, Italy. In 1990 he was appointed the first bass player of the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, with it also appeared as a soloist. In 1992 became a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of maestro Zubin Mehta. Since 2004 a member of "Virtuosos of Tel – Aviv” ensemble which brings together the musicians of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Together with theme he has performed in Israel, the US, South America, Canada and Europe and has recorded two albums.
